EUDR traceability
EUDR traceability, linked from every plot to every statement.
The regulation's traceability test is short: for each product you place on the market, you know every plot of land its commodity came from. EUDRplot keeps that chain as data: supplier, plot file, product, assessment, statement.
- Data hosted in the EU
- Files straight to the EU Information System
- Encrypted, GDPR, DPA included
- Five-year audit trail
EUDR traceability
What you get
Plot to supplier
Every plot belongs to the supplier who sent it, with the file and version it came in.
Supplier to product
Each product lists the suppliers and plot files it draws on.
Product to statement
Statements are filed from the product, and their reference numbers stay with it.
Overlaps flagged
Two suppliers declaring the same land show up before an authority finds it.
Version history
When a supplier updates a file, the old version is kept with the statements that used it.
Downstream records
Traders keep each supplier's and customer's details and reference numbers.
What traceability means here
Certification schemes often allow mass balance: a certified volume bought, the same volume sold, whatever is physically in the bag. The EUDR does not. The due diligence statement carries the geolocation of every plot that contributed to the product, so the chain has to reach the plot for every lot.
Where chains break
At aggregation. A cooperative pools beans from hundreds of farms, an exporter buys from several cooperatives, a mill takes fruit from smallholders and estates. Each step has to pass on the plot list, not just the certificate. EUDRplot's supplier links let each step send its plots in the form the next one needs.
Keeping the chain intact
Files change: a supplier adds farms, corrects a polygon, drops a member. EUDRplot keeps every version and records which version each statement used, so you can show what you knew when you filed.

Is mass balance allowed under the EUDR?
No. Products may only contain commodities from plots whose geolocation you have. A batch mixed with commodity of unknown origin cannot be placed on the market.
How far back does traceability go?
To the plot of land where the commodity was produced. For cattle, to every establishment where the animals were kept.
What do traders have to trace?
Since Regulation (EU) 2025/2650, traders and downstream operators keep their suppliers' and customers' details and the reference numbers of the statements covering the products, for five years.
