What a check can tell you
Whether a geolocation file meets the published requirements of the EU Information System as we understand them, at the rule-set version shown, and, for our own plausibility checks, whether something looks wrong.
What it cannot tell you
- Whether your products are deforestation-free or legally produced.
- Whether the file contains all the plots it should.
- Whether the coordinates describe the right land.
- Whether the Information System's behaviour has changed since our rules were last verified.
Sources
Every rule cites the official source it comes from and the date we last checked it. The sources change; when they do, we update the rules, and there may be a delay.
