EUDR for furniture
EUDR software for furniture, from the forest to the showroom.
Wooden furniture is in scope, and since September 2026 so are only specific wooden seats. Behind a table are a factory, a sawmill and a forest. EUDRplot keeps the plots, species and evidence for each furniture product.
- Data hosted in the EU
- Files straight to the EU Information System
- Encrypted, GDPR, DPA included
- Five-year audit trail

Retailers buying in the EU
Downstream operators and traders keep reference numbers, not statements.
Why furniture is hard
A piece of furniture can contain several woods, from several countries, through several sawmills. The statement needs the geolocation of every forest plot and every species. Factories outside the EU are rarely set up to pass that on, so the work starts with asking for it in a form they can produce.
What the 2026 change means for furniture
The seats entry under 9401 was replaced by specific codes for seats of wood or with wooden frames. Wooden furniture under 9403 is unchanged. Check each product's code; EUDRplot shows whether it is covered.
Importers and retailers
The importer of the furniture is the operator and files statements. A retailer buying from that importer inside the EU is a downstream operator or trader and keeps the reference numbers. A retailer importing directly is the operator.
Questions
Is all furniture covered?
Wooden furniture under 9403 is, and specific wooden seats under 9401. Furniture of metal or plastic is not, unless it is mainly wood under a listed code.
What changed for seats in 2026?
Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/2102 replaced the broad entry for seats with specific codes for seats of wood or with wooden frames.
I buy furniture from an EU importer. What do I need?
You are a downstream operator or trader. Keep your supplier's details and the reference numbers of the statements covering the furniture.
