EUDR deforestation monitoring
Deforestation monitoring for every plot, every week.
A plot that was clean when you filed can be cleared next month. EUDRplot reads three satellite alert systems for each of your plots every week, checks each alert against imagery, and tells you only about what needs action.
- Data hosted in the EU
- Files straight to the EU Information System
- Encrypted, GDPR, DPA included
- Five-year audit trail
EUDR deforestation monitoring
What you get
Weekly runs
Every watched plot, every Monday, with a first check within minutes of adding it.
Three alert systems
RADD first, then GLAD-S2, then DIST-ALERT, chosen per pixel by coverage.
Cross-checked
Sentinel-2 vegetation and Sentinel-1 radar inside the plot against a ring around it, and persistence across weeks.
Scored
Confirmed, likely, unconfirmed or not relevant. Only confirmed and likely are emailed.
Before the cut-off ignored
Clearing before 31 December 2020, and land that was not forest in 2020, are set aside.
Into the assessment
An alert reopens the risk assessment of every product that uses the plot.
Why monitor after filing
Due diligence is not done once. The risk assessment is reviewed at least once a year and whenever you learn something new. A supplier's plot cleared after you filed affects the next shipment from it. Monitoring is how you learn it in weeks, not at the next audit.
How alerts become events
Raw alerts are noisy: clouds, seasonal change, harvests. EUDRplot groups alert pixels into events, sets aside those before the cut-off date, on land that was not forest in 2020, too small to matter, or only on the edge of the plot, and checks the rest against Sentinel-2 vegetation and Sentinel-1 radar, inside the plot and in a ring around it. An event seen again in later weeks gains weight.
What you receive
An email for confirmed and likely deforestation, with the area affected. In the app, each event has before and after imagery; the products using the plot show the alert, and their risk assessments are due for review.

Compare plansQuestions
Which plans include monitoring?
Team watches up to 2,500 plots, Consultant up to 10,000 across clients.
Where do the alerts come from?
RADD (Sentinel-1 radar), GLAD-S2 (Sentinel-2) and DIST-ALERT, all published through Global Forest Watch, read pixel by pixel.
Will I get false alarms?
Fewer. Alerts are grouped into events and checked against imagery and their persistence before they reach you. Unconfirmed events stay visible in the app without an email.
Is monitoring required by the EUDR?
Not by name. But you must review your assessment when new information arrives, and deforestation on a plot is exactly that.
