GeoJSON splitter and simplifier for the 25 MB limit
A due diligence statement accepts up to 25 MB of geolocation. Large files can usually be brought under it by removing points that do not change a boundary. When that is not enough, the file is split by producer into separate files, each for its own statement, and those statements can then be grouped under one that references them.
or drop GeoJSON, KML, KMZ, a shapefile or CSV here.
Or paste GeoJSON

How it works
- Simplification never moves a corner more than 10 m, keeps every polygon valid, and refuses any plot whose area would change by more than 2%.
- Every plot's area before and after is shown before you download.
- Splitting keeps each producer's plots together.
What the Information System requires
- The geolocation files in one due diligence statement may not exceed 25 MB in total. Source: EUDR GeoJSON File Description (EUDR Information System help, updated 17 August 2026), Common errors 16. Last verified .
- The Commission recommends fewer points along straight edges, and single points for plots under four hectares, to reduce file size. Source: EUDR GeoJSON File Description (EUDR Information System help, updated 17 August 2026), Common errors 16. Last verified .
- Statements already submitted can be grouped by submitting a new statement that references them; the grouped statement then stands for them. Source: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1565 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3084, Art. 8a. Last verified .
