CSV coordinates to EUDR GeoJSON
Most plot lists start life in a spreadsheet. Save it as CSV and open it here: we find the latitude and longitude columns (or a single "lat, lon" column, or WKT), read degrees-minutes-seconds and decimal commas, and build one plot per row, or one polygon per plot when each row is a corner.
or drop CSV (save your Excel sheet as CSV UTF-8) here.
Or paste GeoJSON
Your file is read by this page, in your browser. It is not uploaded, stored or sent anywhere.
How it works
- Columns are matched by name in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Indonesian. You can change the match if we got it wrong.
- Rows sharing a plot ID are read as the corners of one polygon, in order.
- Eastings and northings are converted from UTM when the country makes the zone certain.
What the Information System requires
- The Information System accepts coordinates in WGS84 (EPSG:4326) only, as decimal degrees with longitude first. Coordinates in any other system have to be converted before upload. - For a plot given as a single point, the Information System raises an error if its Area is above four hectares, unless the commodity is cattle. A point with no Area is treated as four hectares. Source: EUDR Information System: Validation Rules, Geolocation area for point. Last verified .
Problems this usually finds
Spreadsheets lose precision quietly: a column formatted to four decimals exports four decimals (Coordinates carry fewer than six decimal places (COORD-004)). Latitude and longitude end up in the wrong columns (Longitude and latitude look swapped (COORD-003)). And a list of points with no Area column declares every plot as four hectares (This point has no Area, so it will be treated as 4 hectares (PROP-004)), which is rarely true.
