EUDR Information System (TRACES) | EUDR glossary
The EUDR Information System, built on the Commission's TRACES platform, is where due diligence statements and their geolocation files are submitted. Also called: TRACES, EUDR IS.
The regulation's Article 33 requires the Commission to run an information system. Its workings are set out in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3084 (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3084), amended in 2026 (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1565), which describes it as software based on the Commission's TRACES platform, hence the name most people use.
Statements are submitted through its web interface or its API (Information System API documentation). The rules a geolocation file must meet are in two places on its help pages: the GeoJSON file description (GeoJSON File Description) and the validation rules (Information System validation rules). Every rule in the error reference cites one of them.
