GeoJSON | EUDR glossary
GeoJSON is the file format the EU Information System uses for geolocation: what it is and the parts of it that matter for EUDR files.
It is a geospatial data interchange format based on JavaScript Object Notation (JSON).
GeoJSON is an open standard (RFC 7946): a text file describing points, lines and polygons with longitude and latitude, plus properties for each. The Information System supports it exclusively for geolocation (GeoJSON File Description, Introduction).
The Information System uses a subset: points, MultiPoints, polygons and MultiPolygons; no lines; four recognised properties (GeoJSON File Description, Definitions). A file can be perfectly valid GeoJSON and still be rejected, which is what the error reference is about.
