Country of production | EUDR glossary
The EUDR's country of production, and how it appears in a geolocation file as the ProducerCountry property.
‘country of production’ means the country or territory where the relevant commodity or the relevant commodity used in the production of, or contained in, a relevant product was produced
In the file, the country of production is the ProducerCountry property: "the country
of production ISO2 code" (GeoJSON File Description, Definitions). Every production place must carry a
valid one (Information System validation rules, Production country).
It is the country where the commodity was produced: grown, harvested or raised.
Not where it was processed or shipped from. Cocoa grown in Côte d'Ivoire and exported
through Ghana has CI as its country of production.
